NATURE WALK OF VILKAHARJU
The nature walk starts 2 km from Villa KUKKAPÄÄ. It has a geologically unique ridge. The walk shows the flora, fauna, geology and the history of the area and passes by one of Finland’s biggest boulders from the ice ages. The walk is made of 2 parts, one being 3,1 km and the other 3,6km long, and both walks can be done separately. There are signs on the way, as well as a sign marking the beginning, located next to the parking of Hopeasaari.
Vilkaharju is bordered by lake Saimaa. It was declared a nature reserve in 1978 and is known for its geological formation and forest. It invites you for a hike camping and skiing in the winter.

CANOING
The ORAVAREITTI is a canoeing route between Juva and Sulkava, approximately 57 km in total.
ROWING
Sulkava is famous for rowing. It hosts the SULKAVA ROWING RACE, the biggest rowing competition in Finland held annually on the second weekend of July. Villa KUKKAPÄÄ invites you for a rowing adventure with its own rowing boat.
FRISBEE GOLF
In the Sulkava city ( 6,5 km from Villa KUKKAPÄÄ), you can enjoy a round of Frisbee golf for free. The equipment can be lent form the Library, Etelätuvantie 1.
